Historique

La technique EFT a été créée en 1991 par le coach américain Gary Craig d’après les travaux du psychologue américain Roger Callahan. 
Elle est basée sur la découverte que des déséquilibres dans le système énergétique corporel ont de profonds effets sur la psychologie et le physique d’une personne. La correction de ces déséquilibres, en tapotant sur l’extrémité de certains points du corps et du visage, correspondants à des points d’acupuncture, porte souvent remède, surtout si la personne peut relier le problème à des événements de sa vie.
L'EFT s'adresse à toute personne désirant améliorer son potentiel en se libérant de ses émotions négatives à l'aide d'une technique douce, rapide, efficace et durable.

L’EFT peut aider à résoudre  

Peurs, Crises de panique, Dépression, Phobies diverses, Traumatismes, Stress, Anxiété, Boulimie, Mauvaise estime de soi, Peur du rejet, Tristesse, Colère, Croyances négatives, Insécurité, Culpabilité, Insomnie, Peur de l'Abandon, Migraines, Deuil, Problèmes de poids, Dépendances, Peur de parler en public, TOC et troubles de l'alimentation ...

L'EFT peut également aider l'accompagnement des personnes souffrant de maladie grave. L'EFT redonne de l'énergie et de l'espoir. Cette énergie et cet espoir, si importants et qui font souvent défaut quand la maladie semble continuer d'évoluer. Technique

On se focalise sur l'émotion créée par le traumatisme pour la corriger par les pressions sur les différentes parties de la main, du visage et du haut du corps. Vous allez effectuer des points de pressions sur différentes zones qui sont des points d’acuponcture reliés à des méridiens. C’est une technique simple, rapide, douce et puissante.

Vous allez apprendre et retenir les points de pressions à réaliser pour que la technique devienne fluide et ainsi applicable rapidement. Puis dès que vous avez une sensation désagréable, une situation inconfortable, une émotion qui monte,  vous verbalisez les choses et vous tapotez en même temps.

 

Se libérer de notre mal-être grâce à l'EFT

Lorsque nous vivons des choses négatives, qui nous affectent, nous avons tendance à les garder en nous et à les ruminer ce qui entretient un état interne de mal être. Avec cette technique vous allez vous libérer de vos émotions négatives, les accueillir, de ce fait les accepter pour ainsi mieux les gérer.
La force de cette technique est de permettre de prendre en compte le corps et l’esprit et ainsi les relier dans un équilibre libérateur d’énergie et de mieux être.

 

Durée et déroulement d'une séance d'EFT:

Une séance d'EFT dure 1 h au minimum  mais la première séance sera plus longue (environ 1 h 30 voire plus ) afin de bien expliquer au client ou patient, que le thérapeute  en quoi cela consiste.

 Si vous avez déjà vu des extraits de séances sur Internet, certains peuvent être étonnés d'entendre la personne répéter son problème tout au long de la ronde de tapotement. 

Au fait, une ronde = Le tapotement du point karaté (tranchant de la main), puis de la tête, du tronc et de la main complète.  

  • Il existe une version de ronde plus courte = sans la main sauf  avec  le point karaté pour commencer.
  • Il existe une version de ronde  plus longue = la ronde complète avec le mouvement des yeux.en plus

 Effectivement, la personne répète son problème durant les premières rondes pour rester focalisée sur ce qui la fait souffrir. Pour cela, elle est guidée par le thérapeute. Mais la vocation du thérapeute EFT n'étant pas de faire souffrir la personne, il va ensuite "recadrer" le problème en retournant la bouteille "à moitié vide" en une bouteille "à moitié pleine". Il faut que la personne reste sur un sentiment positif.

J'aime prendre l'exemple suivant:

Des jardiniers amènent de la terre neuve sur un terre-plein pour faire un beau massif de fleurs. Que font-ils ensuite?  

  • Ils plantent leurs fleurs? non
  • Ils mettent du désherbant? non. Ils ne pourraient plus planter quoi que ce soit ensuite pendant plusieurs semaines.
  • En fait, ils arrosent la terre ! Tout simplement pour faire germer les graines des mauvaises herbes. Ils attendent que les herbes et plantes indésirables soient bien hautes pour pouvoir les arracher entièrement. 

Même si l'exemple semble loin de l'EFT, il est parlant. 

 Le thérapeute fait monter les émotions négatives en accord avec le client ou patient et quand il voit que l'émotion est assez ressentie (haute), il renverse la situation. Il guide alors le client ou patient à voir ce qu'il a de positif dans sa vie et si, possible, en relation avec sa souffrance. 

 A chaque fois, le thérapeute demande à son client de lui donner le nouveau niveau d'émotion ressenti. Il lui dira aussi de boire, une bonne hydratation est importante pour le  bon équilibrage de nos énergies (souvenez vous des jardiniers).

 

Voici comment pratiquer en 4 phases (par Jean-Michel GURRET) 

1 - L’évaluation.
Au début de votre séance : centrez-vous sur votre problème et évaluez votre ressenti entre 0 et 10 (0 étant “pas d’émotion” 10 “une émotion à son maximum”) Ceci vous permettra de mesurer votre progression avant et après la réalisation de cette technique. 

2 - L’Inversion psychologique.

On appelle "inversion psychologique" ce qu'une personne dit qu'elle veut faire alors qu'inconsciemment, elle ne le veut pas:   Ex: Je veux absolument m'arrêter de fumer mais inconsciemment,je ne le veux pas car j'ai peur de grossir.

Vous répétez trois fois la phrase suivante en l’adaptant à votre problème et en tapotant sur « le point karaté » : le côté de l’une de vos mains (ci-dessus) :

- Même si (‘j’ai des problèmes relationnels avec ma mère...), je m’aime et je m’accepte infiniment (ou complètement)
Puis vous poursuivez d’exprimer votre tension, votre problème en réalisant cette fois des points de pressions sur les différents points d’acupuncture sur le visage et le haut de votre corps. C’est ce qu’on appellera la méthode de référence.

3 - La méthode de référence. (A chaque point , correspond un effet. Voir le lien 4- Les méridiens d'énergie
En tapotant sur chaque point décrit ci-dessous, vous verbalisez votre tension et/ou votre problème:
- DS = début des sourcils
- SO=sous l’oeil Le petit os sous l'oeil, environ 2 cm sous la pupille.
- CO=coin de l’oeil Le petit os près du coin de l'oeil.
- SN= sous le nez Le petit espace entre le nez et la lèvre supérieure.
- SB= sous la bouche Entre la lèvre inférieure et le menton
- CL= clavicule
- SS= sous le sein
- SLB= sous le bras Sous le bras, environ 10 cm sous l'aisselle

Vous pouvez ajouter un point sur le dessus de la tête. Ce point ne figure pas sur le dessin ci-dessous. Ce point s'effectue par des pressions légères tout autour de votre tête, dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre

4- Fin de la séance 
Evaluez votre ressenti en essayant de penser à votre problème pour constater l’effet intérieur que cela vous procure.
Attention! Il n’est jamais nécessaire de revivre ces évènements, devinez juste le chiffre correspondant le mieux à votre ressenti, entre 0 et 10. Le premier chiffre auquel vous penserez sera le bon. Si vous n’êtes pas à 0, reprenez la séquence depuis le début mais en tenant compte de l’évolution.
